Bridal Shower for the Bride to Be

My sister in law is getting married in 2 months so I have been working with her bridesmaids and maid of honor to create the perfect bridal shower for her.  If you know my sister in law you would honestly think she is the most genuine, and kind hearted person you have ever met in your life.  She is so sweet and always goes above and beyond to make anyone happy even its putting her own happiness aside.  So when she asked me to be a part of her wedding I jumped at the opportunity and knew I would do whatever it takes to make all of her events as special as she is to me.

The girls and I had decided to come up with a theme and asked the Bride to be a few of her favorites.  Of course I went to my pinterest account to find all kinds of ideas and we narrowed it down to a few favs.

First up: Breakfast at Tiffany's

I love turquoise and the hints of black. I thought this could be a really fun party if we actually served small pancakes and mimosas, and yummy fruit to pull in the "breakfast" part.  And then everyone could dress in their best little black dress and best Audrey Hepburn look.  I thought it would be glam and fun.

Next up was: Pretty in Pink

I was smitten with these cupcakes the minute I saw them.

The idea I had behind pretty in pink was to a have a fun, girlie and feminine bridal shower.  All girls want to feel feminine and girlie on their bridal shower day.  It is the day for them to to feel their best and to be showered with love by all of their friends and family.

Finally : Vintage Tea Party

Tea Party's are so fun.  They have a dainty yet laid back vibe that can make anyone's heart pitter patter.  It brings you back to days as young little girl playing dress up and drinking pretend tea with your best friends.  I love the grown up version of this adding the vintage charm to make this a memorable occasion any bride would love.

So which one do you think us bridesmaid's decided on??

Jim, Jack, Johnny Red, Johnny Black, and Jose; all my favorite men.

Recently I had the opportunity to make an amazing arrangement for my friends Birthday.  She found this picture on Pinterest and asked if I could do something similar.

Though I haven't done anything like before I was totally down for the task.  She was having a Heaven and Hell themed birthday party so I thought this idea pretty much rocked.
I went to my beloved hobby lobby and went to town picking out my materials following this gals insturctions.  When I arrived home I got started with my BFF, my hot glue gun and the end product was beyond amazing. I am so pleaseed how they turned out.
The next day I was so excited to deliver these to the birthday girl and boy was she happy.  She told me they were a huge hit!!!

If your looking for the perfect gift for someone you have no idea what to get them.  I would totally do this.  They wont be diappointed!!

Southern Belle Bouquets

I official launched my company for Southern Belle Bouquets back in March.  Since then I have gotten quite a few orders for my fabric bouquets.  Its so funny how every bride is different in the style, theme and color that they choose for their wedding.  I thought today I would show you some of my bouquets and what I have been spending my down time on from time to time.

First up is just a reminder of what my bouquet looked like.  I spent countless hours scourin the internet for the perfect purple bouquet but nothing compared to the vision I had in mind...

Alas, she was done.  So beautiful, so feminine, rustic and antique at the same time.  I am still so in love with my bouquet.  The countless hours, cuts and hot glue gun burns were all worth while.

I also realized how passionate I am for creating these bouquets and making each one perfect and beautiful in their own way.

This was my first offical order for a girl from work. She heard what I did for my wedding and asked if I would do one similar but in hues of blue.

This was a corsage I made for the daughted of the lady I used to work with.  She wanted something for prom that would last forever.  I think I could say I accomplished that.

I even hand sticked on the back "Prom 2012" so years from now she can remember that fun day!!

These are some corsages I made for a bride going with a camo theme.

This is the bouquet for my "Camo Bride"

So far I think I am off to a great start. I just need to get our house more organized now after the move to get some more orders rolling in.
Dont forget to check out my etsy shop either.

Sneak Peak!!

The wedding is finally over and I seriously could not be happier the way everything played out.  Everything was seriously perfect....well just about everything.  There were a few things that could have played out differently but when it is all said and done I am completly happy with our wedding. I got to marry my best friend, the man I will share the rest of my life with and that makes everything worth it.

Since I dont have all of our professional pictures back I can just share with you a couple sneak peeks from out big day.
The love I felt radiating from everyone that day was undescribable. I remember reading several blogs about just sitting back and relaxing and taking the moment in.  I specifically remember making myself do this at dinner. I just finished scarfing down our wonderful BBQ that was catered by All-Star Catering in Willis, TX. If your in the area and looking for a Caterer you cannot go wrong with them. Everyone told us how amazing the food was, and seriously you never hear that at weddings!!

I sat there in my seat on stage next to my handsome husband and just looked across the room at everyone, at everything and just took a deep breath in to take it all in.  I thought, this is really happening, this is the day I have waited for the last 400 plus days. This is the moment every bit of my hard work, heart and soul has poured into and this moment has arrived.  People were chating about the room, people smiling, laughing and my heart was over filled with joy.  The joy I never know if I will experience like that again.

focus focus focus

That is what I need to be doing but I cant.  All I want to do today is sleep.  Curl up in my big bed with my fur-babies and my honey, to cuddle and sleep.  Are any other brides out there lacking focus leading up to your wedding.  All I want to do is just not worry about anythign for a while.  Working out, work, cooking, cleaning, nothing.  I just wanna be lazy for a little bit and do completely nothing but honestly I just dont have the time to do nothing.  I still have a few things left on my to do list for the month and I hope I can knock a couple things out this weekend.  That being said, it would be so nice to just lay around and lounge all day Saturday.

My work focus is completely shot lately.  I have no motivation to even be there let alone try to work and be there.  All I keep day dreaming about is weddings, invitations, planning, etc.  I am hoping that this will be my fuel once the wedding is over.

Ring "Bear" Pillow

A little boy was in a relative’s wedding.
As he was coming down the aisle, he would take two steps, stop, and turn to the crowd.
While facing the crowd, he would put his hands up like claws and roar.
So it went, step, step, ROAR, step, step, ROAR, all the way down the aisle.
As you can imagine, the crowd was near tears from laughing so hard by the time he reached the pulpit.
When asked what he was doing, the child sniffed and said,
“I was being the Ring Bear.”

This reminds me how cute kids can be as well as the darnest things they can say.  I am so excited that my precious nephew will be my Ring "bear" as I now like to call it.  He is super excited too.  I recently completed his pillow and took it over to show him.  I have to admit he pretty much knew exactly what to do with it.  He held it upright and just walked around with it.  He will be a cuttest little ring "bear" ever.

Here is an inspiration picture I got for my pillow since I knew there was no way I could afford it.  I decided to do my own:

My sister was kind enough to give me her old pillow but i mostly just used it for the shape and the filling.  I completely re did it and this is how mine turned out.

I am pretty happy with the results.  As it matches the look were going for a little more so than the Etsy one does.  But a little inspiration never hurts anyone, right?

So ladies, tell me.  Are you going to DIY your pillow and do you plan on having a Ring "Bear" roar his way down your aisle as well?
