When we first arrived we went and signed off a few more papers and went over a few more things we have to obtain before they can start construction. We still need to get our permits, a building permit and a septic permit. I think the world just likes to make money so they will come up with a permit for anything. We also need to call our power company and have them put the stake out where our temporary electric pole will go. THIS IS GETTING SERIOUS PEOPLE!!
So after we finished that we got to the fun part. In our swirl of colors and fixtures and knobs and whistles I didn't take many pictures. I know... boo. But I did take one of what our kitchen will kind of look like if you have an imagination.
As you can tell if you follow me on Pinterest. I am obsessed with white kitchens and so that is what we went with. We chose white cabinets a dark hardwood/laminate looking floor, and then a blueish/gray back splash tile and this really pretty gray/black and white spotted granite. Sorry, but I don't know any of the names of the items we chose.

For the rest of the house we chose to stick with gray and white colors. There will be a really pretty faux marble counter top that is white with swirls of gray in it. It will top the white cabinets in both bathrooms. We choose a light gray for all the walls and then the dark faux wood floors for the entire house except for the future kids bedrooms. For them we chose to put carpet down for their cute little punkin' heads in case they fall when they are little.
We even added on additional space for our spoiled fur-babies. Yes, you read that right. They will have their own little space in the house just for them. its on the small side about a 7'x3' room but hey it will work and keep their dogie food mess in one spot!! it will look something like this when its all done. They will also be at the very front of the house and have a window so they can keep any bad guys away.
And finally, for the outside. We chose to stick with an inspiration picture that I have had pinned for well over a year now. We chose a nice soft beige and a vanilla trim and Aaron even agreed that we could even do a turquoise door and shutters. :) We do however have to buy our own paint for that since their color options for shutters was lacking in my book. But, I am A OK with our decision.
I cannot wait to see our house start to come together. Lets just hope we chose wisely and everything will look nice and cohesive and homey like I have been imagining in my head!!
